By far the most difficult part of this was getting replies.
The replies that I got, however, showed an interesting trend. All of the parents admited that at home their children use computers for either "Games" or "TV/Music Entertainment." In the comment section, however, they stress that technology is good in the classroom, so long as students are being supervised and not misusing the technologies for their own entertainment. I feel like there might be a bit of a double standard there.
One parent, however, commented that, "[Technology] needs to be understood by educators so that students can use this powerful tool." I feel like that is a very good observation... and perhaps even part of the purpose of classes like this...
