IDENTIFYING SIMILARITIES AND DIFFERENCES:

The students will be able to use Microsoft Excel or Google Spreedsheets, to compare the data, based on their findings.  They will be able to see how the distance correlates to the number of m&m’s in their cups.

GENERATING AND TESTING HYPOTHESES:

The students will be working directly with experimental inquiry.  They can develop an hypotheses of what they think will happen if there isn’t enough, or there are too many m&m’s in their cups.  They can try to determine how many m&m’s they feel it will take to get the “correct” bungee.  Then they are able to test these hypotheses’ with their groups.
