Orange Zone Questions regarding student’s prior knowledge of the urinary system are asked answers written on white board prior to students starting unit on urinary system and prior to group projects. This is done to evaluate student’s prior knowledge of the system. Nonlinguistic representation is used by showing diagram of the urinary system and use of an anatomy mannequin for students to view the system and have some sort of hands on . Videos for them to view on Edmodo are assigned as homework regarding the urinary system and catherization. An handout is given to assist them in note taking regarding the urinary system. The hands on clinical lab will be done with the students the wed. after spring break. Students will also be doing hands on clinical where urinary catherization will be demonstrated on a male and female anatomy mannequin. Then students will pair up to perform the catherization on the mannequin.
