Our district MTRAx report shows all 4 of our schools are Level 8-9 Ready for Online Testing.  In the past year our central admin has purchased laptops for our alternative ed and has finally invested in giving us dependable internet service.  Wireless would be nice, but at least we have dependable service now.

Our alternative ed staff could use professional development on the types of questions that will be on the Next Generation assessments.  We are left out of the high school pd that is held for the 'traditional' high school teachers and our teachers who are not in this class would benefit from knowing more about Smarter Balanced and the types of questions included.

I assume from your comment, that you teach alternative ed?  If that's the case, you should still have the training and tools available to help your students be successful.  Although the students are not in the traditional classroom setting, they still should have the opportunities to succeed like their peers.  It can be frustrating to feel left out or forgotten.  But I guess it all takes time and patience.
