Some of the issues that we faced were that we needed to make sure the lab was up and running correctly. Currently our building has two labs that are shared amongst K-6. Sometimes it is difficult for us to plan the use of the labs. Also, the site that the assessment was developed on had to be approved for our filter which took some time.
Once we finally were set for the assessment, the students were instructed on what the expectations were (do their best to apply their classroom knowledge to the questions asked) and take their time. Students did well and I had very few of them troubled by the multi-step problem. I had wanted to test out how they would do online versus paper-pencil and they actually did better online. Some said it was because all the questions weren't present online like on the paper test so they didn't get stressed. They also liked using the tools available online instead of having to not have as many tools available traditionally.
