You have now viewed a video about blended learning, taken an assessment and reviewed your results considering your own readiness for online learning, and then considered tips to be successful when online.

Blended LearninglAfter watching the video (and many others) and taking the online survey I found that I am ready for online learning or distance learning. To me this helps to keep me focused. I am doing something I am ready for and know that honestly I can be sucessful with this style of learning. As for the survey with students, I think it would mean the same thing for them. It gives you a sense of what you are ready to take on. There are no right or wrong answers, it just puts you where your mind is and allows you to focus on those things you can change.

Courtney DI was a "self-directed" learner. This to me, meant that I was comfortable and confident in managing my time and committment to the course, but that I also liked the availability and feedback of my instructor and peers. I enjoy face to face time, to help clarify any misunderstandings, but with a busy schedule, know that I can obtain those clarifications through the use of email or discussion forums. I think that's what makes online learning so successful, the ability to communicate when needed.

DebbieI took the MCC survey about on-line class readiness. I scored 40 points and was found that on-line courses would suit me. I have taken on-line classes before and have been successful. The one area I would need to work on would the new technology that is out there for teachers to use. I have learned of so many resources for teachers from this class and was surprised on how limited my scope has been. This is one area I need to develop and spend more time learning about.

Kyle CarterFirst, I want to say that the top link is broken, and takes me to a "site not found" type of page. When discussing blended learning courses in the future, the time management aspect will definitely be what I will stress the most.
