Sarah Mrozinski Scootpad

Students love to use scootpad to track their progress with materials that they need work on. They can collect coins to use for various things. Teachers love this because they can assign things for students that they need more practice on. They can also get a preview of upcoming material that they will be learning.

Self - Plicker

This is a tool that can be used for a quick assessment. I like this resource because it is a different engaging way to review previous material with students while giving me feedback on how well I am teaching. The basic premise of the tools is that it is an interactive quiz that the students take using different pixel images, that have been registered to their name. The teacher scans that pixel image to gather responses using an iPad or Android deviced. The students responses are then sent to the teachers home computer and formulated into reports that can be viewed as either class or individual student reports.

SmartBoard- Martin

I use my Smart Board to engage students in learning. I am able to create interactive lessons.

Strom

270towin.com is a great resource to use in any civics class. It's an interactive website where kids can view the results of previous presidential elections and even follow the current election. This website can be used to perpetuate discussions about the electoral college and population trends in the United States, or as a great resource for a webquest.
